Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and make precise cuts.
  • Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Demonstrate continuous willingness to learn and grow within the department.
  • Demonstrate honesty in all situations to cultivate an environment of trust.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing and production operations within the ROOF BUILD DEPARTMENT.
  • Follow established production methods and maintain safe work practices.
  • Read order/prints and install mate wall beams, facia, light backers, wall backers & electrical wire.
  • Measure, cut, flip and carry sheetrock.
  • Carry rafters of various lengths & weights and lay on top of sheetrock.
  • Staple wires and build peak extensions, end rafters, & tray ceiling.
  • Fasten with foam seal and mark locations for lights.
  • Move ceilings over with hoist hooks and prep each floor for roof installation.
  • Install overhangs and cut out dormer openings.
  • Complete furnace pipes, mix mud, run box, route lights/backers, sand seams, and paint.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
  • Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to quality standards while achieving productivity objectives.
  • Serve as a good steward for company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse.
  • Assist manager in planning and organizing manufacturing activities.
