About The Position

Waste Pro is seeking energetic CDL drivers for the role of Rolloff Driver in Kenner, LA. This position involves the delivery and emptying of large containers for commercial customers, ensuring a high level of customer service and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate specialized equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works.
• Requires a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices.
• Understanding of Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
• Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Maintain written records and service responses.
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Secure containers by attaching hook to container and using control levers to pull container up on the bed of the truck.
• Provide courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation.
• Exhibit a positive attitude towards company, customer, and municipal goals.
• Answer questions for customers and direct them to contact Customer Service or Sales Representative for additional information.
• Operate compaction and lift equipment on the vehicle.
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections as per Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines.
• Complete Safety Lane activity and DVIR daily in accordance with Waste Pro safety lane guidelines.
• Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly.
• Inspect and clean the truck, including checking fluid levels and air tires.
