About The Position

As a Rolling Mill Operator at Gerdau, you will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for maintaining equipment operations, ensuring safety standards, and conducting quality inspections. Requirements

• 3 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including days, nights, and two consecutive weekends a month.
• General math skills and advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret instructions and use adjustable controls, HMI's, measuring instruments, and gauges.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with heavy mobile equipment, overhead cranes, cab cranes, and torches.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment operations and safety standards.
• Conduct bar quality inspections.
• Ensure all buckets are emptied as needed to allow continued operations.
• Maintain cleaning schedule and assist maintenance as needed.
• Assist in saw blade changes, roll changes, and inspections.
• Ensure 5S area is to the standard at all times during the shift.
