Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred.
• Must be able to safely and competently operate all listed types of equipment.
• Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety by prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Safely and competently operate an asphalt roller and additional equipment including, but not limited to a broom, skid steer, and screws on the screed.
• Drive equipment in successive passes over terrain and/or asphalt to specified grade following marking on grade stakes or hand signals.
• Complete labor and/or flag traffic on road construction sites as needed.
• Perform thorough inspections and accurately complete relevant documentation.
• Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on the equipment.
