About Us Nolt Paving is a family-owned, faith-based paving contractor serving residential and private commercial clients since 2016. The team focuses on asphalt and site work, taking pride in quality results, a positive work environment, and supporting one another on and off the job. What You'll Do as a Roller Operator: Roll & compact asphalt on paving projects using proper patterns to achieve the right finish. Remove creases, marks, and imperfections to ensure consistent, high-quality compaction. Tamp edges and tight areas that the roller can't reach. Keep equipment ready by fueling, prepping, and maintaining proper water levels in the rollers. Assist with general job site setup and support the crew as needed. Report equipment issues or site concerns to the Crew Leader. Travel to job sites, typically within an hour of the shop. Our Ideal Roller Operator: Experienced (or Willing to Learn): Heavy equipment experience is a plus, but not required. Mechanical aptitude preferred. Will train on roller operation and heavy equipment use in the asphalt industry. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the last 5 years. Accountable: Takes ownership of their work, shows up on time, and does what they say they will do without blaming others. Detail-Oriented: Cares about the final product—focused on clean work, proper compaction, and a smooth finish. Hardworking & Productive: Stays focused, works efficiently, and makes the most of the day without getting distracted. Team-Oriented: Respects coworkers, follows direction, and contributes to a positive crew environment. Takes Initiative: Jumps in and gets work done without being told. Active: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet in outdoor conditions, including bending, kneeling, and staying active throughout the day.
