About The Position
Looking for a hands-on role where you can make a big impact? Pregis is seeking a Roll Tender to support our pressroom operations and keep production running smoothly. If you’re detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be your next career move! What You’ll Do Prepare make-ready materials (plates, glue pads, etc.) and ensure they’re ready before press setup begins. Maintain inventory of press rollers, cylinders, and bearings—keeping everything organized and ready for use. Ensure used rollers are reworked promptly and consumables are stocked for press crews. Keep the plant clean and organized through assigned housekeeping projects. Safely manage solvents, glue, oil, and waste products in compliance with safety standards. Change glue totes as needed and assist press crews with consumables. Actively participate in Pregis’ apprenticeship program for continuous improvement. Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in warm, humid conditions.
- A team player who communicates respectfully and thrives in a continuous improvement culture.
