About The Position

The Roll Tender is an hourly position reporting to the Shift Supervisor, responsible for maintaining consumable inventories, assisting with 5S housekeeping, and preparing makeready materials as directed by the VP manufacturing. The role involves working 12-hour shifts (6 AM-6 PM) on a 2-2-3 schedule, with expected overtime based on business demands.

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Good mathematical skills

Responsibilities

Readies all make-ready material as required. Such as mounting plates, glue pads etc. as well as the gathering said materials at press for next make-ready BEFORE the make-ready begins.
Maintains press roller and cylinders in inventory by keeping new rollers in ready state behind assigned presses.
Assures used rollers are reworked in a timely fashion.
Maintains bearing inventories for all rollers used within the pressroom.
Maintains plant cleanliness through assigned cleaning projects.
Maintain the solvent, glue and oil areas in a safe an orderly fashion.
Maintains all waste and oil products safely and in proper containment. Be sure all waste is packaged properly for pick up.
Maintain an orderly clean and efficient space in the warehouse for which to inventory new and used consumables.
Change glue totes when required.
Help press crews in obtaining consumables when required.
Actively engages in Pregis apprenticeship program to ensure continuous improvement of self and company.
Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.
Other duties as assigned.
