Under supervision of the General Superintendent/ Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service. Typical schedules are Monday Friday, with weekends required as needed. Dump Truck drivers operate trucks to and from the shop, transport materials from job sites to disposal sites, and assist crew as needed. Must have a valid Class B CDL license. Low Boy/Tractor Trailer drivers operate combination vehicles over 26,000 lbs., tow trailers over 10,000 lbs., and must be able to strap, chain, and tarp loads as needed. Must have a valid Class A CDL license. Roll-off drivers operate heavy-duty trucks and are responsible for preparing, loading, and transporting large mobile open top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycle facilities and customer locations. Must have a valid Class A or B CDL license. Incumbent is expected to have excellent attendance and communication skills, possess the ability to build lasting business relationships, and exhibit professionalism.
