We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Roll Off Driver to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our GW Debris Services office at 675 Los Esteros Rd. in San Jose and limited job-related travel may be required. GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Roll Off Driver to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s main function will be to deliver, exchange, and pick up debris boxes and compactors.
Requirements
- Current and valid commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) and medical certificate
- Acceptable DMV record and acceptable DOT record
- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
- Ability to work early mornings
- Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
- Constant bending and twisting
- Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting
- Constant climbing in and out of equipment to grab carts
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and experience operating rail debris box truck is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use route navigation apps and maps to service bins in different cities.
- Ensure all assigned equipment is safe, clean, and operable for collection.
- Complete pre and post trip inspections daily to ensure safety and compliance.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out and turned in correctly daily.
- Comply with all safety requirements and Company policies.
- Wear required and assigned PPE to ensure safety.
- Maintain a current valid driver’s license Class A or B.
- Ability to read and review daily work orders and route accordingly.
