About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll Off Driver to join our team at Kane Scrap Iron & Metal, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating roll off trucks to transport waste and debris from various job sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Requirements

• Proficient in operating rear loader trucks, roll off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
• Experience as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
• Capable of performing heavy lifting tasks as required by the job.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll off trucks to pick up and deliver containers at designated locations.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and materials transported.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving in various weather conditions.
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving of containers when necessary.
