About The Position

The Ideal Tridon Group is a worldwide leader in clamps, strut, hose supports, conduit, fittings, and coupling solutions, with over 100 years of proven quality. They are seeking a Roll Mill Operator for the 2nd shift at their Smyrna, TN plant. This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust, debris, and noise. The operator will perform various tasks related to Roll Mill operation, including setting up and operating machines, handling and packing parts and materials using hand tools and various packing materials. Adherence to all safety procedures, proper handling of finished products, and following operational instructions are crucial. The position also requires performing quality checks and may involve overtime, a flexible schedule, and working weekends.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of solid experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained and certified on the hi-lo.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Uses computer-controlled equipment to select position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete more complex tasks.
• May assist with training other machine operators.
• May calculate and assist with numeric controlled programming.
• Typically reports to a supervisor/manager
