About The Position

At Materion, everyone is included, respected and offered opportunity to grow. Join us! Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Roll Grinder provides support to the bonding and rolling mills by resurfacing the rolls that the mills utilize.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of previous manufacturing experience utilizing machining equipment, specifically metal grinding machines such as surface grinders.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and basic instructions.
• Ability to understand and perform basic math and understand measurements using decimals.

Responsibilities

• Requires extensive use of the lathes and other various manual machines.
• Detect and correct defects on rolls.
• Perform repairs adhering to the quality parameters and in-process checks.
• Utilize measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers regularly.
• Must be able to work safely and in a team atmosphere with good communication skills.
• Must be willing to accept additional tasks and responsibilities as an opportunity for growth and learning.
