About The Position
MRO Corporation, a leader in disclosure management solutions for healthcare organizations, is seeking a dedicated ROI Medical Records Specialist to join our team in Norristown, PA. This full-time position involves supporting disclosure management services, specifically focusing on the Release of Information (ROI) requests for patient medical records. The role requires a hybrid work model, with responsibilities split between remote work and client site visits, primarily between Norristown and West Chester, PA. The successful candidate will be expected to travel approximately two-thirds of the week to fulfill the job requirements. As an ROI Specialist - Float, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines while managing patient data requests. Your primary responsibilities will include determining which records to release based on requestor information, answering phone inquiries related to ROI issues, and assisting walk-in customers at client sites. You will also be responsible for logging medical record requests into the ROI On-Line database, scanning records, and processing requests from physician offices on a priority basis. Additionally, you may handle cash payments for requests at specified sites and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting production goals.
