ROI ASSISTANT Job Summary: Provides support, coordination and facilitation for release of information within Oaklawn. Responsibilities include the release of information, distribution of patient records, birth certificate and paternity affidavit completion. Essential Functions: Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives. Works directly with customers (patients, insurance companies, physician offices, etc.). Mains and works the Report Request Distribution Queue. Processes failed auto-fax documents. Investigates and corrects duplicate medical record numbers. Performs any necessary mail outs for HIM. Identifies and processes release of information requests. Investigates and resolves problems or complaints related to ROI. Completes Birth Certificates and paternity affidavits, when needed. Assists with projects related to HIM functions. Assists with other HIM related processes, i.e. deficiency analysis, scanning, etc. Assists physicians, offices and staff with all HIM related questions.
