About The Position

Allpoints Surveying is seeking a field-based Rodman/Instrument Man – Party Chief in Sarasota, Florida. This role is responsible for surveying and investigating land surfaces to project precise measurements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess solid problem-solving capabilities. Competence and comfort in serving as a single crew member are essential. Requirements

Valid Florida State Driver’s License
Exposure to surveying instruments and processing survey data for 6 months
Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain
Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time
Ability to work independently as a single crew member
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High degree of attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

Collect field data utilizing GPS and a variety of surveying instruments
Produce field notes and sketches depicting accurate field conditions
Utilize a variety of technology to collaborate with other internal departments (Calculations, Drafting, etc...)
Organize and prioritize tasks daily
Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner and in compliance with all local laws and regulations
Other duties as assigned
