Requirements

Two year technical degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
Valid driver's license in state of residence required.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly, and 100 lbs occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Employee is required to occasionally walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.

Responsibilities

Operates painting equipment and auxiliary equipment.
Tests and mixes paint as required.
Keeps paint pots supplied with paint of correct quality.
Starts up and shuts down the equipment as required.
Observes rods on conveyors as they pass through the unit, culling out crooked rods.
Keeps rods separated and packaged for each separate size and grade.
Paints identification color on protectors.
Responsible for quality and quantity of work helpers.
Obtains reasonable production with minimum supervision.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
Informs supervisor of any malfunction of equipment.
