The Young Invincibles Rocky Mountain Policy Fellow reports to the Rocky Mountain Director and will contribute to building Young Invincibles’ state network, legislative campaigns, and partnerships in Colorado. The Colorado Policy Fellow will play an integral role in state based policy advocacy, research, and writing. This position will work to cultivate Young Invincibles’ existing partnerships with state legislators and policy groups. They will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing state and city legislation that impacts economic opportunities for young adults, recommending YI take positions, and advocating on behalf of those positions. This individual will act as a spokesperson for YI policy positions to the Legislature, regulatory bodies, and with advocacy partners and the media. This position will lead and contribute to state policy research and writing and will work closely with our organizing team to develop policy positions, research documents, and legislative campaigns that reflect the needs and experiences of our young Coloradan constituents. Additionally, this position will assist in development tasks such as research and grant review. The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate with public policy experience or current student in a graduate program in law, public policy, or a related field. This candidate is simultaneously adept at navigating the policy process and able to help think strategically about the role of Organizing and Communications work in impacting policy change.
