About The Position

9er Fun Living History Guides The 49er Fun Living History guide’s role is to lead a group of 4th graders and their parents for the duration of their trip. 49er Fun trips run mid-March to May. Guides will be with each group for two consecutive days and the guide's availability would need to reflect that. Guides will be using various teaching opportunities and hands-on experiences to share the history of the California Gold Rush and to show the group that God is greater than gold. Rock-N-Water’s 49er Fun Living History program is staffed by a group of Christians who want to use history, education, and hands-on experiences to show that God is the true treasure and that belief in Jesus is the only way to Him. Our living history guides communicate both historical and biblical truths in a fun and engaging way that helps their guests grow, not only in their historical knowledge, but also in their relationships with God. We are always looking for quality people who want to serve Christ and see lives changed as much as we do. Everything we do at Rock N Water seeks to point our campers toward the message of God’s love. Requirements

• Christian camping or other ministry experience
• Agreement and compliance with camp Mission, Vision, Values, Staff Handbook, and Doctrinal Statement
• Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job – to include leaning, bending over, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, squatting, lifting, carrying, holding, and moving heavy objects
• Able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, hold, carry a minimum of 40 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Currently enrolled in high school or high-school diploma or higher education
• First aid and CPR certified (may be provided by RNW)
• Valid California Drivers license
