The ROC Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant by adjusting control variables and process equipment parameters to meet production requirements. This position involves troubleshooting operational issues and alarms, either independently or in collaboration with the local team, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. The ROC Operator is responsible for logging all process changes, alarms, and communications with the plants, ensuring that accurate and precise event logs are entered in a timely manner. In addition to these responsibilities, the ROC Operator must complete station rounds efficiently and assist in the safe starting and stopping of plant machinery and processes based on operating conditions and business needs. Optimizing plant performance is a key aspect of the role, which includes tracking performance data and implementing the best operating plans for all respective plants. The operator is also tasked with inputting time worked into the recording system and closing out daily and weekly work order tasks in the maintenance system. The ROC Operator is responsible for completing their station's portion of the Shift Summary Report and must follow shift change procedures to ensure a thorough transfer of knowledge to the next shift. Compliance with FDA regulations is critical, as the operator will review and release medical-grade products. Additional responsibilities may include completing assigned Learn Share and Master Control tasks, submitting vacation requests in advance, and potentially overseeing other ROC Operators and clerks as a Shift Lead. Flexibility is required for plant coverage and field assignments as needed.
