The Robotics Technician will play a critical role in assembling, maintaining, and optimizing Lucid Bots’ advanced robotic systems. You will work hands-on with robotic hardware, tools, and testing equipment to ensure our robots are built to the highest quality standards. This role will also require flying drones post-assembly for quality assurance testing. As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and operations team members to improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and contribute to the growth of Lucid Bots’ robotics technology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • FAA Part 107 UAS remote pilot certificate (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable lifting and moving up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, maintain, and optimize robotic systems and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in robots.
  • Operate production tools and equipment, including soldering irons, CNC machines, rotary tools, and multimeters.
  • Test and validate robotic functionality and quality before deployment.
  • Fly drones post-assembly for quality assurance (FAA Part 107 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment).
  • Support robotic and drone service operations both in Charlotte and in the field.
  • Monitor and improve assembly, QA/QC, and repair processes, making recommendations for efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop, build, and test prototypes or new products.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
