About The Position

Charge Robotics is a Series A startup building robots that build solar farms. Demand for new solar projects is booming (1 ⁄ 5 of all the solar that exists in the US was installed last year!), but today’s construction companies can’t keep up due to limited labor resources. We thought this was insane, so we started working on robots to directly address this bottleneck and speed up the world’s transition to renewables. Charge is a fast-moving company, which means constant opportunities for learning and growth. You’ll have a large impact on the direction of our company, and will be compensated accordingly. As a Robotics System Operator at Charge Robotics, you’ll be working with our engineering and operations teams to deploy a first-of-its-kind robotic solar installation system that will install gigawatts of clean power generation.

Requirements

• Are available for full-time travel (a per diem stipend will be provided to cover housing and food)
• Are proficient working with computers
• Have a positive attitude and like working on a team
• Will follow safety procedures + reinforce a culture of safety
• Are able to lift 50lbs if necessary

Nice To Haves

• Are familiar with programming and/or the command line
• Have experience working with industrial automation equipment or robotics
• Have experience working on construction sites

Responsibilities

• Operating our state-of-the-art robotic factory and fleet of delivery vehicles on jobsites across the United States
• Assigning tasks to other team members to ensure materials are loaded correctly and efficiently into the factory
• Working with the software team to improve operator user experience and efficiency
• Monitoring the factory for faults, documenting issues, and working through resolutions with the team back at HQ
• Communicating updates with the site superintendent on a regular basis
