About The Position

Gritt Robotics is developing physical AI to automate outdoor construction, starting with the construction of renewable energy infrastructure. The founding team comprises experts in robotics and AI from Carnegie Mellon, Stanford and MIT. Gritt is backed by top VCs who have previously funded Uber, Notion and Lyft. About the role We're looking for an experienced software engineer to lead the development of infrastructure related to large-scale simulation and training. As an early member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in building and shaping the AI capabilities of our robots. You will develop cutting-edge platforms and tools to enable robot learning for challenging manipulation and navigation tasks. We will expect you to grow with the company over time and take on additional leadership roles. Requirements

  • 4+ years experience developing simulation or training infrastructure for robotics problems
  • Familiarity with common simulation and rendering frameworks such as Isaac Sim, Mujoco, Unreal
  • Excellent software engineering skills in Python and familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch
  • Comfortable taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Develop cutting-edge, scalable and robust simulation infrastructure for training and validation
  • Integrate and implement high-fidelity physics for modeling the real world
  • Work with multimodal datasets, e.g. cameras, lidar, tactile
  • Develop tools and infrastructure to enable training large-scale robot AI models (RL, imitation learning, VLAs etc)
  • Architect and optimize software for parallelization on GPUs
