Robotics Head Coach
About The Position
The Giants Robotics Club provides Alden-Hebron High School students with opportunities to design, build, and program robots using VEX Robotics materials and the Robotics C++ program. Students participate in local, state, and occasionally national VEX Robotics competitions. The Robotics Coach will: Serve as a mentor and supervise two robotics teams during club sessions and tournaments. Oversee meetings held on select days after school from September through March. Accompany and supervise students at 3–4 Saturday tournaments between December and March. Complete an online training course to learn VEX systems and programming. Support and guide students by learning alongside them throughout the process.
Requirements
- Strong interest in mentoring and supporting students.
- Willingness to learn robotics systems and programming (no prior experience required).
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Availability for after-school meetings and weekend tournaments.
