Responsibilities

  • Ownership of design, build, programming, of robotic systems to automate, optimize/improve and implement into manufacturing.
  • Integrate with manufacturing engineering, quality, operations, and suppliers to ensure schedule needs are planned and executed.
  • Interface with various functional teams to support bid, install, program, train and maintain robotic equipment.
  • Designing of machine layout within plant facilities to ensure most efficient production capabilities & plant simulation.
  • Adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Support continuous improvement of manufacturing methods and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Work in coordination with operations to establish/enforce site standards and specifications of controls, robotics, and automation.
  • Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Assisting technicians, manufacturing engineers and others in process control, training and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with evaluation and implementation of robotic standards.
  • Experience implementing new software, tooling and processes to dial in efficiencies, engineering changes and/or lessons learned.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Ability to travel 10%

Nice-to-haves

  • FANUC programming experience. ABB experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree related to robotic engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with FANUC Roboguide or Process Simulate software.
