About The Position

The Robotic Welder Position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Robot Welding Cells. They will oversee producing parts in a timely and cost-effective manner. They can program new parts, recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, fixturing, and working conditions. Responsible for various types of fabrication preparation included but not limited to tacking, cleaning, grinding and rejecting parts that need to be modified for the robot to work successfully or are not built to print. Work as a team and with other departments to meet production demands and quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ Robot Welding experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
  • Acceptable written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
  • Must have initiative and the ability act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
  • Must possess a strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Able to read and interpret GD&T on part drawings (dimensions, weld call outs, concentricity, etc.)
  • Certified welder in 2G & 3G (4G preferred)
  • Write programs for new parts scheduled to run on the robot
  • Flexibility to pivot to achieve company goals while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Employee training and development
  • Problem solving skills, troubleshooting when problems occur
  • Complies with company safety policies and procedures
  • Inspect parts produced for accuracy and quality
  • Maintain shop equipment repair and maintenance records
  • Must be organized
  • Managing cost and consumables
  • Monitor area for safety and cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot robot cell malfunctions and return to production
