Robotic Welder Operator

The Robotic Welder Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welded components in accordance with engineering specifications, safety standards, work instructions and production schedules. This role supports efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring consistent weld quality and minimal downtime.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
- Experience operating robotic welding systems or automated manufacturing equipment
- Basic knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, spot welding, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Pass basic HYDAC weld test within 90 days of hire date
- Familiarity with Metric System
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Nice To Haves
- Certification in welding or robotic welding operation
- Experience with robot brands such as Fanuc
- Basic knowledge of robotic programming or teach pendant operation
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding systems and peripheral equipment
- Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials accurately and safely
- Inspect welded parts for quality, dimensions, and defects using gauges and visual inspection
- Perform minor program adjustments and parameter changes as required
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on robotic welding equipment
- Identify welding issues (porosity, misalignment, incomplete welds) and report or correct them
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and welding symbols
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes
