Acme Manufacturing Company is seeking a motivated Robotic Automation Technician to join our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and validating various robotic finishing solutions. You will collaborate with Automation Leads to evaluate customer specifications and write efficient programs for metal finishing applications, primarily using FAUNC and ABB robots. The role requires a willingness to travel approximately 25-50% of the time to customer locations for machine installation and service assignments. Flexibility in working hours, including overtime and weekends, may be necessary to meet project deadlines and customer needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with customer machine acceptance testing, providing installation and commissioning support, and conducting thorough testing of machine functionality. You will represent Acme at customer locations, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address any machine or application complications. After-sales support will also be a key aspect of your role, ensuring that customers receive the best possible outcomes from their robotic systems. This position offers a high level of independence for candidates who demonstrate the ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
