In this role, you will be working with our robot software engineering team on the software stack for our current and future Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) product line. You will be part of a fast-paced team developing and enhancing ROS-based software applications, implementing complex algorithms, and integrating cutting-edge sensor technology. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and support our current fleet as well as future generation products. Your responsibilities will include developing or enhancing robot algorithms used for navigation, such as path planning and obstacle avoidance, as well as localization and mapping. You will evaluate and integrate new sensor technology into the navigation stack and investigate and test new functional capabilities for both current and future generation robots. Participation in product development design reviews is essential, as is providing technical input to help identify and solve project risks that may affect overall project plans and schedules. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with software and hardware teams within the organization to develop a complete system design and assist in the migration from ROS1 to ROS2.
