About The Position

As a Robot Safety Operator at Dyna Robotics, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of our robotic systems during live testing and deployment at client sites. You will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards, protecting personnel and hardware, and supporting experimental operations. You will work closely with our engineering and research teams to monitor, evaluate, and refine robot behavior in real-world environments. This role is primarily on-site at a client location in San Francisco, CA. We maintain a high bar for talent and look for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments.

Requirements

  • Willingness to own the operations of the robot and drive proper functioning of the robot
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism, in a customer-facing environment
  • Willingness to occasionally support work over weekends or holidays if required
  • Function in a manufacturing environment, including standing 8+ hours a day
  • Embrace constructive feedback and strive for constant improvement
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain high quality work and efficiency while working with little supervision
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English
  • Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and performance metrics reports
  • Minimum age of 21

  • Master new physical tasks quickly and find the optimal way to perform them
  • Experience working with robots or troubleshooting mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets and command line (CLI) tools

Responsibilities

  • Successful operation of one or more robots operating in a specific customer use case for the duration of an operating shift
  • Observe robot operations and document robot issues during operation, including reviewing observed issues with onsite and offsite engineering teams
  • Complete end-of-day robot operations reporting, including performance and productivity metrics
  • May control the robot remotely through various teleoperating methods
  • Maintain a safe environment for both yourself and the robot at all times
  • Follow proper equipment and robot service procedures, including bring-up and shutdown and physical inspection
