We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robot Programmer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record programming Fanuc and Yaskawa (Motoman) robots within automated manufacturing environments. This role supports the design, development, and implementation of robotic systems for industrial automation applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Develop and optimize robot programs for Fanuc and Yaskawa robots used in automated production cells (welding, material handling, palletizing, etc.).
  • Perform on-site robot setup, configuration, and commissioning, including I/O mapping and tool center point (TCP) calibration.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate robotic solutions with PLCs and automation equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance for robotic systems.
  • Provide technical support during equipment installations and after delivery to customers.
  • Use simulation software (e.g., Fanuc Roboguide, Yaskawa MotoSim) for offline programming and validation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of robotic programs, system configurations, and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industrial safety and quality standards.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience programming Fanuc and Yaskawa robots in an automation environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Proficient in robot programming languages: Fanuc TP and Yaskawa INFORM.
  • Experience integrating robots with PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.).
  • Knowledge of offline programming and 3D simulation tools.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and standards for robotic cells (e.g., RIA, OSHA).
  • Experience with robotic welding or advanced material handling systems.
  • Familiarity with vision systems or force sensing for robotics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
