  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • This position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Individual must be a: Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks as assigned by Department Supervisor.
  • Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and standards.
  • Perform detailed assembly operations using microscopes, tweezers, micrometers, or dial indicators.
  • Perform one or more repetitive bench operations.
  • Completes all relevant documentation.
  • Maintains material inspection records
  • Cleans and maintains equipment & work area.
  • Microscope use is required.
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and with Morgan New Bedford, MA EHS Guidelines. Guidelines include but not limited to participation in required EHS training and use of proper PPE. Employees are responsible for reporting hazardous conditions and job-related injuries or illnesses to their supervisor.
  • Performs training/cross-training as required.
  • Operates robotic controlled metallizing equipment, control panel, required fixtures, pallets, hot plates.
  • Monitors automation equipment including I.D. Dabber, O.D. Roller Coat, O.D. Coater and future implemented metalizing automation equipment.
  • Responsible for following proper metalizing application on production.
  • Monitor changes that would affect proper metalizing coverage.
  • Operator performs maintenance and minor repairs of metalizing equipment pertaining to wear, replacement, cleanliness, and the equipment for operating robotics.
  • Can perform tooling and fixturing set up and change overs.
  • Works with Engineering to determine best practice and able to implement changes to the process with Engineering guidance.
  • Able to accurately use measuring devices/ tools, such as: microscope, viscometer, XRF machine, gauges, tool-maker microscope, micrometers.
  • Able read/ interpret methods and follow practices.
  • Visually inspects parts before, during, and after metalizing application to determine correct coating.
  • Makes ink to specification.
  • Maintains inventory.
  • Must perform routine diagnostics.
  • Must detect for faulty equipment, coatings, and dimensions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to follow written/ verbal orders, manuals, MI work specifications, work orders, etc.
  • Can efficiently operate in ERP system.
  • Must record operational issues and communicates to appropriate personnel, such as: next shift operators, engineering, supervisor, etc.
