About The Position

The Robot Operator at Graphic Packaging International is responsible for operating and troubleshooting robotic systems within the production environment. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of palletizing functions, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and supporting lean initiatives. The operator must align their work with the company's business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the area around the robot to respond to issues such as stage pick errors and light curtain faults.
• Operate HMI control screen to manage robot functions including resetting and powering down.
• Use teach pendant to jog the robot when necessary.
• Operate stretch wrappers as part of the packaging process.
• Identify and resolve issues with box scanning, including label placement and conveyor belt alignment.
• Review and confirm that pallet tags, logs, and work instructions are consistent.
• Ensure labels are secure and facing outward when preparing pallets.
• Hand stack boxes when robot issues occur.
• Record discrepancies and report them to the shift manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area by removing stray cartons and sweeping up.
• Assist with troubleshooting robotic issues as they arise.
• Support and develop lean initiatives such as 5S and TPM.
