As a Robot Operator / Service Technician at Nextpower, you will play a pivotal role in the operation and maintenance of our advanced robotic systems deployed on solar sites. You will work as part of a dynamic team that leverages cutting-edge technology to ensure the efficient operation and optimization of solar energy facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical education or certification is a plus).
  • Previous experience in robotics operation, maintenance, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Flexibility to work in various outdoor conditions and travel to different solar sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of solar energy systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Robot Operation: Remotely operate and monitor robotic systems deployed at solar sites, ensuring missions are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Field Support and Safety Compliance: When on-site, safely operate and maintain robots in accordance with company and customer safety standards, always prioritizing risk mitigation and proper documentation.
  • System Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Collaborate with the technical team to diagnose and resolve issues related to robotic performance. Assist in routine maintenance and perform basic on-site repairs as needed.
  • Deployment Assistance: Support the deployment of robotic systems at new or existing solar sites, including setup, testing, and confirmation of operational readiness.
  • Data Logging and Reporting: Accurately document mission performance, travel logs, anomalies, and maintenance actions using internal platforms and tools.
  • Technical Communication: Clearly communicate robot status, site conditions, and technical findings to internal operations and engineering teams.
  • Travel and Adaptability: Travel to solar field sites up to 60% of the time as needed for deployment, support, or repairs. Work in varied outdoor environmental conditions, sometimes for extended periods.
