About The Position

Position Details: This position will be In-Office $23.00 - $28.00 an hour Primary Function: The Robot Operations Support is responsible for supporting the daily operations of robotic systems across the lab, including runway setup, robot bring-up, and other operational activities. This role ensures safety compliance in the lab, including adherence to dress codes and proper use of safety equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in robotics, automation, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 yr of experience in operational support, robotics, or related technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of lab safety standards and ability to enforce compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and patience when performing precision-based tasks.
  • Ability to follow procedures, adapt to new technology, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
  • Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values
  • Pass a post-offer background verification

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of robotic motion or kinematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily robot operations, including setup, bring-up, and shutdown procedures.
  • Maintain and enforce safety compliance on lab runways, including footwear, safety glasses, and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor and manage operational readiness of robots and associated equipment.
  • Assist engineers and operators with troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Ensure safe and consistent robot operation across lab activities.
  • Provide feedback on lab operations, workflows, and safety improvements.
  • Assist with basic equipment maintenance and routine checks.
  • Follow organizational policies regarding lab safety, security, and sensitive data.
  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
