About The Position

A CNC RoboRail Operator's primary duties center around transforming raw steel materials into finished parts based on technical drawings and CAD files. Machine Setup and Operation: Prepare and operate the RoboRail machine, including installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and workpieces. This includes using the integrated chuck for rotating hollow sections and the Stäubli robot arm for profile cuts. Reading Technical Documents: Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAM files (like DSTV and STEP files) to understand product specifications and dimensions. Programming/Data Input: Load design data directly from CAD systems into the machine's ProCam software and enter necessary instructions for cutting paths, speeds, and feeds. Material Handling: Safely load and unload raw materials, such as steel beams, pipes, and angles, often using overhead cranes or forklifts. Quality Assurance: Monitor the cutting process, perform test runs, and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet exact specifications and quality standards. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, changing torch parts, and troubleshooting operational malfunctions. Safety and Documentation: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines (OSHA, company policies) and maintain accurate production and quality control logs. This position combines the general duties of a CNC operator with specialized knowledge of the robotic HGG RoboRail system to automate precise and efficient steel fabrication processes.
