The position involves supervising and instructing students with disabilities to provide them with essential skills such as language, social, self-help, vocational, perceptual, and daily living skills. The role includes providing individual instruction and supervising extracurricular activities. Additionally, the position requires planning and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and daily lesson plans, maintaining all student records including progress reports and behavior charts, and reviewing and requisitioning class materials and equipment. The individual will also maintain contact with outside resources to secure assistance for specialized activities related to an individual's education plan.
