Four (4) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience
One (1) or more years of experience leading or directing the work of others
A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience
Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis
A doctoral degree in special education or related field
Knowledge of research, theories, literature, and trends in post-secondary education programs for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practice
Writing and managing grants, especially federally funded and/or multi-million dollar grants
Experience with fundraising or involvement in donor events
Experience with planning, conducting, and implementing research studies
Experience working with students and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
