  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Four (4) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience
  • One (1) or more years of experience leading or directing the work of others
  • A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience
  • Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis
  • A doctoral degree in special education or related field
  • Knowledge of research, theories, literature, and trends in post-secondary education programs for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practice
  • Writing and managing grants, especially federally funded and/or multi-million dollar grants
  • Experience with fundraising or involvement in donor events
  • Experience with planning, conducting, and implementing research studies
  • Experience working with students and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
