Join us today and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation. On any given day, you’ll:  Perform construction observation of transportation/WisDOT infrastructure projects. Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress; materials testing; field staking and general inspection for transportation road and utility projects. Interpret construction drawings and specifications and take appropriate action to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the requirements of the project construction contract. Maintain client relations while in the field. Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems. 

Requirements

• Previous transportation related infrastructure construction observation experience (i.e. storm sewer, structures, roadway, etc…).
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing construction observation on WisDOT infrastructure projects would be beneficial.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent beneficial. 
• Experience in excel and word.
• Staking/survey experience.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills and the ability to operate independently.

Responsibilities
