About The Position

At Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), we’re seeking a skilled and motivated Roadway Project Manager to lead transportation projects across West Virginia. You’ll play a key role in designing and managing roadway infrastructure for a wide range of clients—from local municipalities to state DOTs and private developers. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience required
  • 4+ years of task lead and/or project management experience preferred
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required
  • DOT experience required, WVDOH experience is a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of roadway design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Diverse experience in roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, and right-of-way Plan preparation
  • Experience in proposal preparation and engineering fee estimating
  • Experience in grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering design, analysis, task management, and project management duties on all types of transportation projects for a broad range of commercial, industrial, and government clients.
  • Geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, cost estimates, and other related efforts.
  • Managing highway and local roadway engineering projects to provide quality delivery of project submittals.
  • Managing project contracts and financials, be involved with business development and marketing efforts including identifying potential opportunities and supporting proposal and interview efforts.
  • Mentoring junior-level staff.
  • Monitoring workload needs throughout the entire project development.
