Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description: BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Roadway Engineer Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to large-scale engineering projects and gain practical experience in a highway and roadway design. By joining Parsons, you’ll be part of our well-established Summer Internship Program with 170+ interns nationwide. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation is a plus
• Prior transportation or infrastructure engineering internship experience preferred
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with the geometric design of highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, superelevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.
• Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.
• Provide technical guidance and input to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers working on the project team.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project delivery.
