Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
  • Proficiency in required design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer is preferred.
  • North Carolina PE certification preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects.
  • Perform work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
  • Include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawing and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
  • Help to coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as drafting/CADD work for the project.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports and may supervise small projects.
