Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Roadway Design Engineer in North Charleston, SC.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least 4 years of experience
• A PE license is required

Nice To Haves

• South Carolina PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of starting date
• Roadway design experience
• Demonstrated experience with Bentley Open Roads, MicroStation, MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Prior design experience with SCDOT preferred

Responsibilities

• Leading roadway design tasks from preliminary to final design for SCDOT, County, and Municipal clients
• Developing and reviewing plan sets, performing roadway geometrics in Open Roads/MicroStation, quantity estimates and associated documents, and working with project team members
• Serving as roadway project lead as necessary
• Growing and learning necessary skills to move into Project Manager role
• Other duties as assigned
