About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Civil Engineering Intern to join our Miami, FL office. AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies, providing infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management services to public and private clients across the United States for more than 50 years. Our Internship Program is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

Requirements

• High school level courses in math, technical drafting, computer assisted drafting and/or science may be required.
• No experience is generally required with the applicable high school courses or equivalent training.
• Must have completed 30 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support to Roadway Engineering staff.
• Assist engineers with Roadway plan production tasks.
• Perform simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions.
• Coordinate operation within organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
• Utilize standard office software.
