About This Role:
In a company-provided vehicle, you will conduct road tests as a certified Third-Party Skills Testing (TPST) instructor.
All of our lessons behind-the-wheel lessons and road tests are taught in a Coastline car and recorded with a dashboard camera for the safety of you and your student.
The majority of the demand for road tests is in the afternoons and weekends as most of our students are on a school schedule. A typical day could consist of - 10-20 road tests.

Requirements

• Licensed Driving Instructor
• Must be certified by third party skills tester (TPST Examiner)
• A genuine passion for helping people learn
• Ability to remain calm in a learning environment
• A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
• Must have 10 years of legal driving experience
• A strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability
• Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others
• Ability to focus for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Complete and inspect the DPS testing paper
• Provide third-party road-testing instruction
• Conduct the behind-the-wheel test
• Gaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations
• Use a standardized scoring sheet and DPS paperwork
• Conduct a post-drive review with the student
• Record the results in DPS’s system or via the AO’s reporting process
• Attending team meetings for updates and ongoing development
