The Road Supervisor is responsible for overseeing street operations to ensure adherence to schedules, route consistency, and on-time performance (OTP) metrics. This role involves conducting systematic site checks and road observations, managing service continuity by implementing rerouting strategies in response to traffic congestion, construction, or emergencies, and optimizing vehicle readiness through rigorous "gate checks" and coordinating vehicle change-outs with Dispatch and Maintenance teams. A critical aspect of the position is safety, compliance, and risk mitigation, which includes acting as the primary on-site lead for accidents and incidents, managing the scene, collecting data, and coordinating service resumption. The supervisor also oversees post-accident protocols, verifies operator fitness for duty, ensures valid licensing/certifications, and performs detailed safety audits such as wheelchair securement and vehicle cleanliness inspections. Additionally, the supervisor will cross-train with safety training and operations managers to ensure comprehensive knowledge of MV company policies.
