About The Position

Griffin Health is seeking a reliable and compassionate Road Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Services team. This role involves traveling to various offsite locations to collect blood specimens for laboratory testing. The ideal candidate will be skilled in phlebotomy techniques, comfortable working independently, and committed to delivering patient-centered care in the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program.
• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience preferred, especially in a mobile or outpatient setting.
• Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation (vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to various environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection at offsite locations in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Accurately label and document all specimens to ensure proper processing.
• Maintain proper storage and transport of specimens to ensure integrity.
• Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care to patients in a variety of settings.
• Manage scheduling and routing to ensure timely collections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy equipment and vehicle.
• Follow all HIPAA, infection control, and organizational guidelines.
