About The Position

We are currently looking for an experienced Road Mechanic to keep our level of committed safety and service to our Davey Service Lines. The role includes diagnostics and repairs on trucks and equipment, such as chippers, aerials, cranes, and trailers. Responsibilities also include DOT and ANSI safety inspections. The candidate must possess the ability to interact with Managers on a professional level while discussing their service needs. The company will provide the service truck and any training needed; the mechanic needs to provide his own tools. The position may include overtime, occasional overnight and emergency after-hours road calls. Requirements

• Experience in truck mechanical repairs, diesel engines, and hydraulics.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Required: Valid CDL driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, functionality and repairs of company equipment, tools and materials.
• Inspect and repair office vehicles and equipment including but not limited to CDL Vehicles, Pick-Up Trucks, Aerial Lifts, Brush Chippers, Mobile Equipment, and Small Engine equipment.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
