About The Position
The Road Maintenance Quality Control Specialist position at VERSAR is a full-time role based in the Belle Glade, FL area, focusing on ensuring the quality and compliance of road maintenance activities. The specialist will be responsible for conducting inspections on various road signs, guardrails, and reflectivity, as well as performing routine inspections on completed work orders to verify adherence to contract stipulations. This role involves monthly inspections of bridges and participation in the Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) as directed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The specialist will compile results for project reviews and ensure that all quality control inspections are conducted in accordance with established procedures. In addition to inspections, the specialist will maintain accurate records to comply with District Quality Assurance Review requirements and assist the Project Manager with documentation for FDOT inspections. The role also includes reviewing customer service documentation, incident responses, and scheduled asset inspection reports. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining a project database with current information to produce accurate reports for clients and will support the implementation of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) safety controls by setting up and removing traffic control devices. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve night inspections. The specialist must demonstrate high ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The role also necessitates maintaining certifications related to traffic management and incident management within a specified timeframe after project startup.
