About The Position

The Road Maintenance Division of Lane County Public Works seeks to fill a Road Maintenance Operator position on its Bridge Projects crew. This position performs maintenance activities and operates equipment in the construction or maintenance of bridges and roadways, and related projects. The Road Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the County transportation system including some state highways and city streets under contract with Lane County. Although the majority of equipment and employees in Road Maintenance are based at the Delta Complex, satellite shops are located near Cottage Grove, Dexter, Veneta, and Florence. A crew and equipment are assigned to each Road Maintenance Zone. The Bridge Projects, Vegetation, and Sign Shop crew are headquartered at Delta and work throughout the County.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in the operation of medium road maintenance and construction equipment.
• Experience performing semi-skilled and skilled tasks.
• Possession of a valid Oregon Class A CDL, with required endorsements and medical card.
