PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Promote and provide oversight of safe work practices and high-level performance of operating crews for a given territory and improve operating ability of Locomotive Engineers. Act as a primary source of information and technology in certification and new train handling techniques for Locomotive Engineers. Provide leadership accountability for inputs and outputs of safety, service, efficiency and financial metrics.
